Amy Tangerine Sketchbook - It's Your Day Card

Amy Tangerine Sketchbook Card
It's been a nasty week and I look forward to getting into my craft room.  So many ups and downs both at work and at home and I'm ready for some stres relief and just getting creative.  The act of getting creative may help me solve some dilemmas that I'm facing in my life.

So it leads me to this card "Everything's Wonderful" sounds nice doesn't it?  Maybe if I'm ready to believe everything is wonderful then it truly would be.

Today's card is made almost exclusively using the new Amy Tangerine Sketchbook paper, stamps, and coordinating stickers.  I broke out the Twinkling H2O's to give this card a sparkly watercolour effect to compliment the papers in this unique line from American Crafts.

Everything's Wonderful!
I've tried to offset the doodle effect of the paper with lines, both sketched and dashed on this card.  I wanted to give it that watercolored and collage look - layered and deep.  Almost a mixed media card as I used tape, watercolors, pen, and other bits and bobs on my desk.

It's a very special card!  And it looks great, but not sure who to give it to.  Maybe it's a card that I made for myself for a change!  I'll eventually end up giving it away, but I'll just make myself think it's for me in the meantime.  :)

I'd suspect that this card is versatile, as the inner greeting says "it's your day!" and could be used for more than one kind of occassion.  Birthdays, graduations, congratulations, etc could all be "your day."
It's your day!
